The company

MSDP is a Belgian professional services company. Four disciplines and one software product in a single structure — because in practice they cannot be separated.

Continuity

Why four services in one structure

An aviation software project requires understanding the regulation. A co-ownership structure requires knowing how costs will be computed and by which system. An executive mandate requires both. Instructing assumes you have operated yourself.

Splitting those disciplines across separate companies would reintroduce, between them, exactly the losses in translation that MSDP spends its time removing at its clients. The single structure is not an administrative convenience: it is what makes it possible to follow a decision from the European regulation down to the line of code, and on to the person who will use it in flight.

In practice, one engagement can begin with the legal qualification of an operation, continue with the definition of the cost model, take shape as a booking application, and end with training the team that will take it over.

Scope

What MSDP does, and what it does not

MSDP works on

  • Software engineering: ERP and business application design, systems architecture, process digitalisation, software engineering training.
  • Business management: structuring, governance, financial steering, executive mandates.
  • Aviation specialities: AirOps, AirCrew, continuing airworthiness, airfield operations, aircraft co-ownership and management.
  • Ground and flight instruction, through to specialised ratings.
  • Publishing and supporting FlyMate, software for ATOs and DTOs.

MSDP is not

  • An aircraft operator: MSDP operates no aircraft in its own name and performs no air transport.
  • An approved Part-145 maintenance organisation or an approved CAMO: it works alongside and in interface with such organisations.
  • An approved training organisation: instruction is delivered within ATOs and DTOs.
  • An accounting, tax advisory or law firm.
  • A managed services provider or a reseller of third-party hardware and licences.

Way of working

Three commitments

01

Say no when it is warranted

An engagement that adds nothing is not proposed. An unfavourable opinion is delivered as such, including when it contradicts what the client hoped to hear.

02

Write before acting

Scope, assumptions, risks and price are written before commitment. Surprises belong to the flight, not to the invoice.

03

Hand back autonomy

Documentation, training, code and data returned. A dependency created on purpose is a failed engagement.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How large is MSDP?

MSDP is an independent firm of deliberate size. Engagements are carried out directly, without intermediaries or interposed junior teams. When a project exceeds that capacity, MSDP says so and points to the appropriate skills rather than stretching a schedule.

Does MSDP work as a subcontractor for other suppliers?

Yes, particularly on architecture, modelling or aviation compliance work where a generalist supplier reaches its limits.

Which languages does MSDP work in?

French and English, written and spoken.

How does MSDP bill its engagements?

Fixed price where the scope can be bounded, time and materials where the engagement is exploratory or recurring. In both cases, the billing method and cap are written down before work begins.
